If someone is eating or sleeping way too much or too little, that might be the first warning sign. The lack of interest in usual activities or people, the absence of the ability to see the point of thing or life, the feeling of unexplained pain, or losing hope are also amongst the first signs. Usually, people are trying to hide their mental health problems or to forget about them using too much alcohol, drugs, or smoking. Constantly changing the mood from extreme happiness to total fear or sadness, as well as, the lack of ability to control your behavior or emotions are considered as a red flag.
